SNMPで使用する「Private Enterprise Number」の申請手順

SNMP実装機器を自社ブランドとして販売するには、「Private Enterprise Number」が必要となります。
これは企業を識別するための番号でIANAにより管理されています。
今回はこの番号を取得する手順を説明します。申請はインターネットで行います。

1．https://www.iana.org/ にアクセスします。
　
2．"Private Enterprise Number"を「Search the site」などでサイト検索します。
　
3．検索結果から"Private Enterprise Number (PEN) Application Form"を探してクリックし（執筆現在は検索トップ）、「Private Enterprise Number (PEN) Request Template」（執筆現在のURLは「https://pen.iana.org/pen/PenApplication.page」）のページに移動します。

4．下例のように、企業情報や管理者情報を入力し、「submit」します。
　Organization Name:HOW INC.
　Organization Address:1-11-17 CHIYODA SAGAMIHARA-SHI KANAGAWA JAPAN
　Organization Phone:+81-042-753-3616
　Contact Name:Taro Fuku
　Contact Address:1-11-17 CHIYODA SAGAMIHARA-SHI KANAGAWA JAPAN

5．上記を掲載した自動返信メールが送られてきます。

6．数日でIANAから、下例のような前述登録内容の確認メールが送られてきます。

8．数日でIANAから、下例のように自社に割り当てられた「Private Enterprise Number」が記載されたメールが送られてきます。
